Garnet

Garnet is a beautiful group of gems that includes almandine, spessartine, pyrope, rhodolite, demantoid, tsavorite, hessonite, hydrogrossular, and more.

Most people think of a dark reddish color when they hear the word garnet, but garnets occur in several different colors.  For instance, hessonite and spessartine can be orange while rhodolite can be purplish.  Meanwhile, demantoid, tsavorite, and hydrogrossular are green garnets!
