Citrine

​Citrine is the very attractive yellow to orange variety of quartz.​

The most valuable color of citrine is known as Madeira Citrine, which ranges from golden orange to reddish brown.  Light yellow citrine is commonly referred to as Lemon Citrine.

Citrine rarely occurs in nature.  The majority of citrine on the market today is created by heating natural amethyst.
